Earlier this week we had a special guest in our salt shed: none other than top chef Pierre Wind! Leading up to the Kitchen Take Over on Friday, May 23, at Hotel Brasserie Smits in Wemeldinge, he stopped by to see – and especially taste – with his own eyes what makes our Zeeuwsche Zoute so unique.
During an exclusive tour of our visitor center, Pierre was visibly impressed. Not only of our circular and sustainable process, in which we extract pure and artisanal Zeelandic salt, but especially of the taste. His reaction? “This is Zeeland’s gold!”
