Festive opening of our new visitor center

Last Friday we reached another milestone with the opening of our new production location and visitor center in Bruinisse. In the presence of friends, family and valued contacts who have contributed to the growth of the company, we officially inaugurated the new building in a festive manner.

Opening by Jo-Annes de Bat

The afternoon began with a warm welcome by initiator of Zeeuwsche Zoute, Christian Clerx, and a speech by Jo-Annes de Bat, member of the Provincial Executive for Zeeland. He cut the ribbon to make the opening official. The ceremony was followed by a tour of our visitor center, where guests were able to witness our salt production process under Christian’s guidance. They learned about the rich history of salt mining in Zeeland and the sustainable production process we use.

Our new location

Our new production site, close to National Park the Eastern Scheldt, uses the latest technologies to produce sea salt in an environmentally friendly way without fossil fuels. This reinforces our sustainable approach, with which we recently won the Schouwen-Duiveland Sustainable Business Award. Our visitor center was realized thanks to a successful crowdfunding campaign. From now on, interested parties can visit the visitor center year-round for tours and tastings. During a visit, you will learn all about the history and production process of sea salt and its importance to the region.

We look forward to welcoming many guests to our visitor center!
