Preparation

  1. Roll the lemons firmly on the counter so they release their juice more easily. Cut them in half and squeeze out the juice. Strain the juice to remove the seeds.
  2. Wash the basil and mint. Set aside a few nice leaves for garnish, and gently rub the rest between your hands to release their flavors.
  3. Put the lemon juice, honey or agave syrup, and the mint and basil leaves in a large pitcher. First, add a small amount of water and stir well until the honey is completely dissolved.
  4. Pour in the rest of the (sparkling) water and stir. Add two pinches of Zeeuwsche Zoute Puur.
  5. Taste it and, if necessary, season it further with a little extra honey or lemon juice.

Fill the glasses with ice cubes, pour the lemonade over them, and garnish with a slice of lemon and a few basil and mint leaves.

Tip: For an extra summery twist, you can also add a few slices of cucumber or a handful of frozen red berries.
