Zeeuwsche Zoute now on the table at Michelin restaurant ‘t Vlasbloemeken

Koewacht is a cozy village right on the Dutch-Belgian border. In fact, if you park your car across the street, it’s half in the Netherlands and half in Belgium. At the restaurant ‘t Vlasbloemeken everything revolves around the best of sea, cattle and field. Here you sit down to modern Dutch dishes prepared by chef Eric van Bochove and his team. And now our Zeeuwsche Zoute Puur and Zeeuwsche Zoute Zeekraal are simply on the table there. Guests even get an explanation of how our salt enhances flavors, just the way we like it. Not just a condiment, but a story to share.

The story behind ‘t Vlasbloemeken

The name refers to the village’s rich flax history. The building in which the restaurant sits has been through everything over the years: from dance school and hotel to customs office. Today, everything is dedicated to sophisticated dining. Eric and Bianca have been putting their souls into it since 2005, and you can tell by everything. In 2012 they were awarded a Michelin star, which they still wear with pride.

For us, of course, it is special that Zeeuwsche Zoute is on a star table. Are you in the neighborhood? The surroundings invite you to walk and cycle, with places like the Verbeke Foundation in Stekene or the Heidebos nature reserve nearby. Afterwards, sit down at ‘t Vlasbloemeken and taste for yourself how a pinch of Zeeuwsche Zoute completes a starred meal.
