On the shores of the Oosterschelde, we pump seawater at the fishing village of Bruinisse on the island of Schouwen-Duiveland during incoming tides. The Oosterschelde National Park is the largest national park in the Netherlands. Purified by sandbanks, oyster, and mussel beds, this is one of the best places to obtain clear and clean water from the Oosterschelde. Did you know that on average, an oyster purifies 5 liters of water per hour? Mussels go even further and purify an impressive 10 liters of water per hour.
We use a combination of 500 years of Zeeland craftsmanship and modern technical solutions to produce our salt. All of these elements contribute to the art of our work: creating an exceptionally authentic salt product that enriches our daily lives and offers a new taste sensation each time.
