Visit the Zeeuwsche Zoute visitor center and experience firsthand how our salt is made. An admission ticket includes a guided tour with one of our salt makers and a salt tasting, where you can sample all our salt flavors and discover the differences between various types of salt.
The ticket is valid for a fixed date and time and also serves as a €2.50 voucher, which you can use towards the purchase of any of our products on the day of your visit. Tickets can be booked up to two hours before the tour starts. The tour is conducted in Dutch, but explanation cards are available in English and German. To fully experience the tour, certain areas can only be accessed via a staircase. Keep this in mind when booking your ticket.
For safety reasons, the visitor center is only accessible to children (up to 18 years old) when accompanied by an adult. A maximum of two children (up to 18 years old) is allowed per adult.

On the shores of the Oosterschelde, we pump seawater at the fishing village of Bruinisse on the island of Schouwen-Duiveland during incoming tides. The Oosterschelde National Park is the largest national park in the Netherlands. Purified by sandbanks, oyster, and mussel beds, this is one of the best places to obtain clear and clean water from the Oosterschelde. Did you know that on average, an oyster purifies 5 liters of water per hour? Mussels go even further and purify an impressive 10 liters of water per hour.
